THEY MUST CHANGE THEIR MINDS

THEY MUST CHANGE THEIR MINDS Acts 28:6.  The people expected him to swell up or suddenly fall dead; but after waiting a long time and seeing nothing unusual happen to him, they changed their minds and said he was a god.(A) We see clearly In the opening scripture that people of Malta changed their evil thoughts they had towards Paul. Because they thought the moment he was bitten by a venom snake he will die because of the past things he was doing before start serving the Lord and because he escaped the death at the sea they thought he can escape that and survive this one. However, surprisingly as they were waiting for him to die because of the poison after he as shocked off the snake, He didn't swallow nor die, finally they changed their minds that is a god  Wow powerful scripture, believers believe me whether you like it or not they are people around you wishing you a casting down despite showing you kindness as they did to Paul but don't worry that you are going through...

BE MAD IN THE THINGS OF THE LORD

BE MAD IN THE THINGS OF THE LORD Acts 26:24-25. 24 At this point Festus interrupted Paul’s defense. “You are out of your mind,(A) Paul!” he shouted. “Your great learning(B) is driving you insane.”25 “I am not insane, most excellent(C) Festus,” Paul replied. “What I am saying is true and reasonable. Believers it's better people think you are mad(insane) in the things of God, yes have heard people saying this ,"too much church things will drive you insane." Here our own Apostle Paul was told that His too much learning was driving Him insane, but Paul wasn't insane at all cost, you have to understand that a man carried by the Spirit is like a mad man. The Bible says in John 3:8. "The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”[a](A) This was the same thing that happened to Prophet Elijah when He met Ahab that they called him a trouble maker but he wasn...

GOD'S WAYS ARE NOT MAN'S WAYS

GOD'S WAYS ARE NOT MAN'S WAYS  Isaiah 55:8-9.  8 “For my thoughts(A) are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,”(B)declares the Lord.9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,(C)so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.(D) Yes! Brethren our thoughts and ways are not God's thoughts and ways. Yes most of us we want many things to go our own ways and not in line with God's ways. We can't reach were we want because of our ignorance cause we don't know the will of God as the results we start to feel as if God is failing us , but we aren't fair for ourselves because we don't acknowledge the Lord in all we do. Proverbs 3:5-6. 5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 14:12. (A)There is a way that seems right to a man,But (B)its end is the way of (C)death. It's clear here God is telling us that we s...

DON'T BE TOO QUICKLY TO FORGET HIS GOODNESS

DON'T BE TOO QUICKLY TO FORGET HIS GOODNESS Psalms 103:1-2.  1 Praise the Lord,(A) my soul;(B)all my inmost being, praise his holy name.(C)2 Praise the Lord,(D) my soul, and forget not(E) all his benefits— Brethren let's not be too quickly to forget His(God) goodness. Here we see the Psalmist saying to himself that all his begin must praise the Lord and should not forget how kind He is. Psalmist understood that we humans beings it's easily to forget all the good things God as done for us, Why? Maybe because of the storm you are in now, you starting thinking God as forgotten you! No He hasn't , remember were He took you from, how he as protected and show His kindness towards you and How He as proved Himself to you that is reliable. Do not make the current situation you are passing through may it be at work, in marriage, family, school, ministry or business etc. make you forget how Faithful He is. For He is not a man that can lie or disappoint but is there to appoint you...

DO NOT PASS ME BY

DO NOT PASS ME BY Psalms 106:4-5 4 Remember me,(A) Lord, when you show favor(B) to your people, come to my aid(C) when you save them,5 that I may enjoy the prosperity(D) of your chosen ones,(E) that I may share in the joy(F) of your nation  and join your inheritance(G) in giving praise. Brethren we need to understand that the hand of God is not too short that it can not reach you and save you, nor His eyes blind and ears deaf. But He is the living God who called all His children to be the partakers of every spiritual Blessing. Isaiah 59:1. Surely the arm(A) of the Lord is not too short(B) to save,  nor his ear too dull to hear.(C) We are seeing in our opening verse were the Psalmist is praying to God for rememberance that as He is helping other people He must be included too. This applies to us too, we pray to God who don't need advice from anyone when He wants to bless His people. May the book of rememberance that was opened for Mordecai  at this moment may it be o...

THE ROAD OF HOLINESS

THE ROAD OF HOLINESS Isaiah 35:8.  And a highway(A) will be there;it will be called the Way of Holiness;(B) it will be for those who walk on that Way.The unclean(C) will not journey on it;  wicked fools will not go about on it. Yes THE ROAD OF HOLINESS; then what is the Holiness we are talking about first of all? This holiness we are talking here is of our Lord God, which is of being holy and have no business with unclean, cause unclean defiles a man and can no longer stand at the point of been holy as God want us to be. We see in our opening verse that the scripture highlights it clear to everyone that all those who are unclean can't walk or even pass by this highway of holiness. Then we can ask ourselves were is this road leading us to, the answer is simple and straight forward to enternal life (Zoe). With the reference of other scriptures let's look what truly lead to the Road of Holiness? and what can't lead us to this Road of Holiness? Psalms 24:3-6 3 Who may ascen...

BE CONTENT WITH WHAT YOU HAVE

BE CONTENT WITH WHAT YOU HAVE Philippians 4:11.  Not that I speak from [any personal] need, for I have learned to be content [and self-sufficient through Christ, satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or uneasy] regardless of my circumstances. We see here that our very own Apostle Paul was content with what he had in life through Christ, cause Christ is self-sufficient. This comes as an example to everyone of us to remain content with what we have. Cause if you can't be satisfied ( content) with what you have you will never be happy as the results you will find fighting yourself or with others. If you think what you have is not enough better ask God who give generously and He will give it to you. He said in John 14:13-14, that ,"whatever you need ask in His name and He will give it to you." 2 Samuel 12:8. And I gave you your master's house, and your master's wives into your bosom, and gave you the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too li...

HE IS INTERESTED IN OUR MOTIVES

HE IS INTERESTED IN OUR MOTIVES James 4:1-3 (A) 3 You ask [God for something] and do not receive it, because you ask [d]with wrong motives [out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda], so that [when you get what you want] you may spend it on your [hedonistic] desires. We have to understand that our God is God who judges beyond human imagination. Thus why we see here in vr3 were we are been told that,"You ask [God for something] and do not receive it, because you ask [d]with wrong motives [out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda], so that [when you get what you want] you may spend it on your [hedonistic] desires." Am telling you, you can ask God and not receive it even though He said ask and you will be given. First in whose name did you ask? Because in John 14:13-14, Jesus is telling us that only in His name we can have access to every answer we may need from God. The name of Jesus has power both in heaven and here on earth. And Jesus said to us that " I a...

GOD'S CALL TO REASON TOGETHER

GOD'S CALL TO REASON TOGETHER Isaiah 1:18-20 18 “Come now, and let us reason together,”Says the Lord.“[a]Though your sins are like scarlet,They shall be as white as snow;Though they are red like crimson,They shall be like wool.19 “If you are willing and obedient,You shall eat the best of the land;20 But if you refuse and rebel,You shall be devoured by the sword.”For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. Wow what a loving father we have, He don't want His sons to perish but always to be with Him. Vr 18 is evident to all of us that despite our wrong doings by been rebellious people onto the voice of God still is calling us to reason with Him that He will cleanse us and purify us if we are willing and obedient to heed to His voice. I know you think that you aren't worth of been in His presence because of what you have done in the past but thank God is calling(grace) to leave the past and start a fresh life with Him. We are just like a lost son who saw that it's not to late to...

ALL YOU NEED IS HIS WORD

ALL YOU NEED IS HIS WORD Psalms 107:19-20.  19 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,And He saved them from their distresses.20 He sent His word and healed them,And rescued them from their destruction.(A) Believers all you need is Hid living word and am telling you the truth your story and situation will never be the same. In our opening verse we see that the children of Israel were healed from there destruction only by the word which proceed from the mouth of God when they carried for help and there story were not the same. What is that situation you are in that has left no peace in your life just ask God to send One Word and you will testify. Have seen it in life were just one service at church or an encouragement of the word of God people began to testify that if it wasn't for that service or word of encouragement I wouldn't be here.  Reference scripture: John 1:1-5 In the book of John we are told that everything was created by the word of God, and this wor...

BELIEVE AND CONFESS

BELIEVE AND CONFESS Romans 10:9-11 9 because, if myou confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and nbelieve in your heart othat God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, p“Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” Yes believing and confession this two go in hand for everyman who is a believer. Cause we see in our scripture that if you confess and believe that God has raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved. In vr10 we are told that to believe is unto righteousness and and confession into salvation. Because they are people who confess so that they can be seen but never believed what an error!  However, confession is to speak(declare) what God said in His word and to believe is to completely act on what He said all this falls in meditation. Joshua 1:8. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but myou shall med...

HE IS WILLING

HE IS WILLING Matthew 8:1-3.  When Jesus came down from the mountain, large crowds [a]followed Him. 2 And a leper came up to Him and bowed down before Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You are able to make me clean (well).”(A) 3 Jesus reached out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Yes! God is totally ready to heal, deliver and set us free from any power of darkness that may be oppressing our lives for His glory in His Kingdom. But here raises a question are you willing to submit yourself under His power?  We can clearly see in the book of Matthew that Christ was ready to heal this leprosy man but He was waiting on the submissive of this man. Cause they is no way you can heal a man if himself he is not willing. Let's see in verse 2 what the Man said,"Lord, if You are willing, You are able to make me clean (well).” this showed the willingness of a man also that he wanted to be healed. Then in verse 3 J...

HEAVENLY BACKUP

HEAVENLY BACKUP Matthew 3:16:17 16 After Jesus was baptized, He came up immediately out of the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he (John) saw the [a]Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him (Jesus),(A) 17 and behold, a [b]voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased and delighted!”(B) Believers, ministers of the gospel we need heavenly backup, those battles you are fighting, you are seeing in flesh all they need is for the heavens to be involved. It clearly indicates that after the baptism Jesus was announced to the world as the heavenly citizen and the heavens were there to back Him, cause that was the beginning of His ministry imagine before this announcement He walked under the heavens which were closed. Yes those miracles that He performed it was because of the heavens, He was sent with the word of the Spirit and the heavens were open before Him. However, believers of faith we need to operate under the heavens which ar...

LIVING IN ABUNDANCE BY UNDERSTANDING GOD'S LOVE

LIVING IN ABUNDANCE BY UNDERSTANDING GOD'S LOVE Ephesians 3:17-21 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition 17 May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love,18 That you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it];19 [That you may really come] to know [practically, [b]through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses [c]mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] [d]unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and [e]become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!20 Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, f...
