HE IS INTERESTED IN OUR MOTIVES

James 4:1-3

(A) 3 You ask [God for something] and do not receive it, because you ask [d]with wrong motives [out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda], so that [when you get what you want] you may spend it on your [hedonistic] desires.

We have to understand that our God is God who judges beyond human imagination. Thus why we see here in vr3 were we are been told that,"You ask [God for something] and do not receive it, because you ask [d]with wrong motives [out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda], so that [when you get what you want] you may spend it on your [hedonistic] desires."

Am telling you, you can ask God and not receive it even though He said ask and you will be given. First in whose name did you ask? Because in John 14:13-14, Jesus is telling us that only in His name we can have access to every answer we may need from God. The name of Jesus has power both in heaven and here on earth. And Jesus said to us that " I am the way", which means whenever you want anything use the name of Jesus as the key to have what you want from God.

However, you may ask in His name according to what the bible tell us,but here raises a question then why have not been answered after praying in Jesus name? The answer is simple,"because you ask [d]with wrong motives [out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda]" what does it mean you ask not according to God's will. For if you had asked according to God's will u could have it.

Romans 8:27-28.  And He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, 

because the Spirit intercedes [before God] on behalf of [a]God’s people in accordance with God’s will.(A)28 And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.

Good things work for those who go in the line with God's will, and we are told in the same scripture that they is no way we can know the will of God until we allow the Spirit of God to search the mind of God and report to us according to what He has find, for He is the one permitted to search the mind of God. And also going in line with His words.

Furthermore, we don't have what we ask because we want to spend it on pleasures, like in self desires( worldly things), and this is were the spirit of competitive comes in. Thus why God can't give it to you cause He is interested in the motives beyond it, He is not interested for how long you pray, you cry or how emotional you are all. What interest Him is why are you asking those things cause some of us we ask so because of curiosity that we boast, and start looking down on others which does not glorify God. God gives us all we want so that we use them for His glory and for the growth of His Kingdom.

May God grant us the grace to pray according to His will and for the seek of God's glory and His Kingdom enlargement.
