 HEAVENLY BACKUP

Matthew 3:16:17

16 After Jesus was baptized, He came up immediately out of the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he (John) saw the [a]Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him (Jesus),(A) 17 and behold, a [b]voice from heaven said, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased and delighted!”(B)

Believers, ministers of the gospel we need heavenly backup, those battles you are fighting, you are seeing in flesh all they need is for the heavens to be involved.

It clearly indicates that after the baptism Jesus was announced to the world as the heavenly citizen and the heavens were there to back Him, cause that was the beginning of His ministry imagine before this announcement He walked under the heavens which were closed. Yes those miracles that He performed it was because of the heavens, He was sent with the word of the Spirit and the heavens were open before Him.

However, believers of faith we need to operate under the heavens which are open. We see things not moving in ministry, after praying for people you are been oppressed by the demons instead of you delivering people it's you who is been delivered the question is who sent you? Who announced you? Who is your backup?

Remember we are not fighting the flesh and blood but it's a spiritual welfare and this fight requires spiritual backup. We see in Judges 5:20. From the heavens the stars fought, From their courses they fought against Sisera.; Israel became victorious in the battle because the heavens fought for them.

Philippians 3:20. But [we are different, because] our citizenship is in heaven. And from there we eagerly await [the coming of] the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;

See we are citizens of heaven which means heavens are our backup. And thus why we are given power and authority to rule over powers of darkness, and that whatsoever we shall command here on earth will be done for us in heaven.

Powers of darkness are interested to see who sent you? Who is your backup? Thus why we see many people been oppressed; reference scriptures: Luke 10:19; Matthew 18:18;16:17-19

We see disciples in Luke been sent by Jesus thus why after they came back from the mission were happy because the Kingdom of darkness obeyed them this is because Christ sent them and the Kingdom of darkness knows Christ.

Not only that Peter after saying Jesus is the Messiah was told He didn't speak by human but it came directly from heaven and for that was given the keys of heaven, what a great backup!

More over let's look Jeremiah 1:9-10. 9 Then the Lord stretched out His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me,“Behold (hear Me), I have put My words in your mouth.10 “See, I have appointed you this day over the nations and over the kingdoms,To uproot and break down,To destroy and to overthrow,To build and to plant.”

Here Jeremiah is been sent as a prophet of God but Jeremiah doesn't know what to say, but God put words in Jeremiah's mouth and put him incharge of territories. And God Himself sent Him and be the backup for Him.

Furthermore, we see in Isaiah 48:16. “Come near to Me, listen to this:From the beginning I have not spoken in secret,From the time that it happened, I was there.And now the Lord God has sent Me, and His [Holy] Spirit.”. Here Isaiah is been sent by the Lord and the Spirit wow! Then in Isaiah 10:27. It shall come to pass in that dayThat his burden will be taken away from your shoulder,And his yoke from your neck,And the yoke will be destroyed because of (A)the anointing oil. Because of the anointing we see chains been broken.

Psalms 105:15. “Do not touch My anointed ones,And do My prophets no harm.”(A)

More reference scriptures: 1 Corinthians 4:20; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5; Mark 16:15-18; Ephesians 6:12.

Ministers let's seek the presence of God and ask Him that send me I refuse to go on my on. Moses cried to God that if you won't go with me I won't go too, cause he understood that he need the backup to defeat Pharaoh.
