BELIEVE AND CONFESS

 BELIEVE AND CONFESS

Romans 10:9-11

9 because, if myou confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and nbelieve in your heart othat God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. 11 For the Scripture says, p“Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.”

Yes believing and confession this two go in hand for everyman who is a believer. Cause we see in our scripture that if you confess and believe that God has raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved. In vr10 we are told that to believe is unto righteousness and and confession into salvation. Because they are people who confess so that they can be seen but never believed what an error!

However, confession is to speak(declare) what God said in His word and to believe is to completely act on what He said all this falls in meditation.

Joshua 1:8. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but myou shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

For faith without work is dead and if you are reading and studying the word of God and not obeying what Is been said all is in vain. Reference scriptures: James 2:14,17;1:21-25

Moreover, here comes a question then how can I believe who have not heard ? And how can I call on who I have not believed in?

Romans 10:13-17 will definitely answer our pending questions, all is summarised in vr17 were it says," faith comes by hearing , and hearing the word of God." Because by this the spirit of God will bring convection to us and makes us believe and confess the word of God in all we do or going through.

John 13:17.  If you know these things, you are blessed [happy and favored by God] if you put them into practice [and faithfully do them].

According to this scripture let's see how this woman of the issue of blood put it in act by believing and confessing.

Mark 5:25-29,34. 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding(A) for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes,(B) I will be healed.” 29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.(C) He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you.(A) Go in peace(B) and be freed from your suffering.”

By this encouraging and evident story the woman's confessed these words, “If I just touch his clothes,(B) I will be healed.” what a powerful confession but she didn't end from that alone but she believed by putting what she confessed in action and she did and her bleeding stopped at once and even felt it inside herself that she was healed, for salvation came upon her.

Now we see Jesus saying to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you.(A) Go in peace(B) and be freed from your suffering.”

What an enlightment by the Holy Spirit, this is indeed action of faith.

Let me tell you that even though you have Benn prophesied that you will be great in life or you will pass an exam but if they is no action of faith you will see the prophet lied you but the responsibility was in your hands.

Ezra 10:4. Arise! For this matter is your responsibility, but we will be with you; be courageous and act.”

May God help us to live in the life of ACTION OF FAITH as our father Abraham.
