KNOWING AND UNDERSTANDING YOUR SOURCE (GOD)
KNOWING AND UNDERSTANDING YOUR SOURCE (GOD)
Philippians 3:10
Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
10 [For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [[a]which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope]
Knowing and understanding your source first you must be willing to spend time with your source. First I will give you an example about the source, imagine for you to have electricity in the house the electricity must come from the source and if no cables are connected to that you can't have electricity, for a phone to operate they must be a power source.
Oh! Now coming to your personal life who is the source of your life and all that concerns you. If it is God good! But the question is do remain connected to Him. Thus why here Apostle Paul is telling us that now all I want is to know Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit. Wow believer it's important to know your source and what is behind the source for the source to operate that way, Jesus operated in miracles and wonders by the power of the Holy Spirit that raised Him from the dead.
And they is no way you can know very well your source if you can't give Him time and be around Him every time. Let's look on the life of Jesus and the Apostles they spent there lives in pray and in secret place cause that was the only way to comprehend the things of the Spirit.
Look in Matthew 6:6. But when you pray, go into your [most] private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, Who is in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.
The more you spent time with Him the more He reveals more to you, cause all He wants is for you to give Him more time and He shall surely be connected deep to you.
Acts 6:4. But we will [continue to] devote ourselves [steadfastly] to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”
In this book of Acts we see the apostles giving themselves continuing in prayer and in the ministry of the word, what a beautiful life they choose. For you to know and understand your God it takes sacrificing and is what great men of God we see or heard they were able to flow in supernatural way. They is no way you can move in the way of your master If you a student can't understand your master.
Matthew 22:29,32. 29 But Jesus replied to them, “You are all wrong because you know neither the Scriptures [which teach the resurrection] nor the power of God [for He is able to raise the dead]32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.”(A)
God will always reveal Himself to you according to the capacity you want Him. And understand that those who know there God will put there trust in Him this refers to the personal revelation Chri reveals Himself to you.
When you look great men of God in the Bible had personal encounters with God, so to you what personal encounter do you have with Christ that strengthens your relationship with your God. For the most powerful defence of the validity of the gospel is the continuing growth of consistency in our lives.
And they is no way you can be in relationship with your God when you don't know Him cause this raise on basis of convection and revelation.
Psalms 9:10. And those who know Your name [who have experienced Your precious mercy] will put their confident trust in You,For You, O Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You.(A)
Let's take a look in Acts 17:23-25. Here Paul was provoked within him because the people Athens, did know who they were worshiping, because found out that there city was given to idols plus on their altar was inscribed " TO THE UNKNOWN GOD" which is really bad but thank God Paul made them and us all understand whom we should worship Amen.
For by faith we walk and not by sight because revelation comes by faith which is consistently mediating God's word so that it strengthens your relationship.
2 Corinthians 5:7. for we walk by faith, not by sight [living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises]—
Galatians 1:12. For indeed I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a [direct] revelation of Jesus Christ.
Apostle Paul had deeper revelation with Christ and when we see Apostle Paul wrote most of the books in the New testament though he didn't walk with Christ in the days of Christ ministry. Again we see in opening chapter that Paul wanted to know the work of the Holy Spirit why? It's simple Romans 8:8-16 has definitely answer for us and the body is dead without the Spirit and you can't
please God or walk in His will.
James 2:26. For just as the [human] body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works [of obedience] is also dead.
By God's grace and mercy let's ask that God take more of us and give us more of Him so that we live in the nature of our God and understand and know more of Him.
Share and invite someone to bless your beloved to save lives and Christ commanded.
God is good: we are a testimony; Everytime:we are getting better and better.
